The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy
How to tell a shattered story?
By slowly becoming everybody.
No.
By slowly becoming everything.
After reading Arundhati Roy’s The God of Small Things, I leapt at the chance to drown myself in this. It took some time but I soon found myself in a world conjured up by a spirit of social justice and activism in a seamlessly woven story of strength and overcoming. Of being true to one’s self. The story starts and ends in a graveyard but within it is an intersection of lives, as does their triumphs and struggles of their stories. I hope you get a chance to peek into this world.
